About Our Scholarship
Comprehensive Educational Support
The Jubilee and TEN Joint Venture Partners have a long-term outlook on developing the oil and gas industry in a way that is both profitable for all stakeholders and delivers sustainable growth into the future. At the community level, the Partners seek to manage real and perceived impact first and build on that with strategic interventions that support the building of resilient communities long after oil and gas activities have ended.
Education is a fundamental right recognized across many countries—the United Nations Education Social and Cultural Rights Convention being just one example of this recognition. It provides individuals, particularly the underprivileged, with the necessary tools they need for success in life.

The Partners introduced the Scholar's Aid Project to provide scholarship for children from fishing communities attending senior high school. The scholarship provides financial and psychosocial support to children within the Partners area of influence in the Western Region.
Through an effective governance structure and administrative regime, a minimum of 300 junior high school graduates across the coastal belt of the Western Region are awarded the scholarship yearly. A total of 1200 underprivileged children from the fishing communities have benefited from the scholarship since its inception four years ago.
The Project seeks to provide financial support for graduates of the Scholar's Aid Project and others from the fishing communities to pursue further studies at the tertiary level. The scholarship will cover students from the university, nursing and teacher training colleges.
